The 16th International Workshop on Boosted Object Phenomenology, Reconstruction, Measurements, and Searches at Colliders (BOOST 2024) kicks off today in Genova (Italy). This year’s edition continues the tradition of bringing together leading experts from both theoretical and experimental backgrounds to discuss latest developments in the study of particle “jets”.
The ATLAS Collaboration is set to unveil several new results at BOOST 2024. These include advancements in the study of jet properties, with a particular focus on the application of machine learning. These pioneering studies promise to offer deeper insights into Quantum Chromodynamics (QCD) and enhance the search for physics beyond the Standard Model.
The conference will cover various topics crucial to the field, including new particle searches, QCD calculations and measurements, jet reconstruction and calibration, pileup mitigation, new observables and techniques, and considerations related to future collider experiments. Check the BOOST 2024 tag for the latest updates. A comprehensive list of ATLAS results presented at BOOST 2024 is given below
