Alison Lister is an Associate Professor at the University of British Columbia in Canada. She is passionate about her research on the ATLAS experiment which currently spans many areas of interest from detector upgrades to searches for long-lived particles. But she always seems to gravitate towards using top quarks for both precision measurements and to search for signs of physics beyond the Standard Model. Using machine learning algorithms to help address the more difficult aspects of an ATLAS analysis has a been a long-standing interest of hers (since being a postdoc on CDF actually).
