Sarah Alshamaily

Sarah is an Iraqi-Canadian MSc student at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, pursuing her passion for studying dark matter from an experimental particle physics perspective. During her Bachelors degree at the University of Victoria, she worked as a research assistant with the ATLAS group where she helped in developing the trigger menu given a rare B-meson decay, as well as take part in the ATLAS Liquid Argon project.

ATLAS Week: through the eyes of students

ATLAS Week is an opportunity for young physicists to present and discuss their work. ATLAS students Sarah and Bruna were at the last ATLAS Week in Vancouver, Canada, and share what the experience was like for them.
