The students of the Engineering School of Lorena, São Paulo state will participate in an introductory discussion on the ATLAS detector and the physics of the LHC. During this discussion, will talk a bit about the LHC, the detector and the Standard Model of Particle Physics. The discussion will take place with the researcher Denis Oliveira Damazio (USATLAS/CERN) from the ATLAS detector in the control room of the experiment. Estudantes da Escola de Engenharia de Lorena, no estado de São Paulo, participarão de uma discussão introdutória sobre o detector ATLAS e a física do LHC. Durante o encontro, serão abordados temas como o LHC, o detector e o Modelo Padrão da física de partículas. A discussão ocorrerá com o pesquisador Denis Oliveira Damazio (USATLAS/CERN), integrante da colaboração do detector ATLAS, diretamente da sala de controle do experimento.
