CERN Accelerating science

Our school's Astronomy and Modern Physics club (7th Experimental Junior High School of Trikala) aims to extend the Physics lessons beyond the boundaries of the traditional curriculum to introduce modern Physics and Cosmology topics. We seek to extend our students' understanding of basic physical quantities such as time, space, gravity, and the structure of matter. The standard model provides the basis for understanding the elementary particles and their interactions. A virtual visit to the ATLAS experiment will help our students understand the project's scientific value and magnitude and will inspire their future studies and careers.
