The virtual visit with ATLAS is a part of a Masterclass hosted by Kathmandu University's Department of Natural Sciences. The visit, attended by nine undergraduate students in Applied Physics, will be follow-up to an introduction to CERN, LHC and the ATLAS experiment. The students will have spent a few hours beforehand looking at ATLAS data and identifying W boson paths.
The goal of the programme will be to introduce CERN and high energy particle physics to the students, to interact with physicists, and to create and encourage an interest in fundamental science.
