ICTP Physics Without Frontiers (PWF), in cooperation with the University of Liverpool, are organising a two-week intensive course in practical programming for scientists in Guatemala, for 40 university students. The course is given by Kurt Rinnert (LHCb, University of Liverpool) and Kate Shaw (ATLAS, ICTP, University of Sussex) to provide students and elctures with vital skills in programming in python.

In parallel, as part of the Colombian Meeting on High Energy Physics, Carlos Sandoval (ATLAS, UAN-Bogota), is organising a short masterclass session with high school students from "Tecnocentro Somos Pacífico”, at Universidad del Valle in Cali, Colombia. The Tecnocentro is a community centre that offers training in arts and technology to young people with any degree of vulnerability condition in the city of Cali. Professor John Ellis (King’s College London) first established contact with the centre in September and was very impressed by their efforts. He has been behind this initiative and will also be joining the virtual visit.
